What is Narava?
Narava is a home for short-form vertical drama series. Creators publish episodic stories, and fans watch on their phone or desktop. Fans can watch the first episodes free, then buy the series or subscribe to the creator to keep watching.
Do I own my content?
Yes. You keep full ownership and creative control of your work. Narava is simply a platform for sharing it with your community and earning from it.
What's the platform fee?
We only earn when you do. Narava takes a flat 20% fee on content that's actually sold, for example your monthly subscription or a one-off series purchase.
How do I earn money?
Fans can buy a whole series, or subscribe to you monthly. A subscription unlocks every series you mark as “Included in subscription”. You set your own prices, in US dollars. You keep 80% of every sale.
How and when do I get paid?
Payments are processed securely through Fanvue. Earnings are held for 7 days, and then you can request a payout at any time by direct bank transfer or crypto.
How do I get started?
Narava is invite-only for now. Register your interest at narava.ai/filmmakers and we'll be in touch. Once you're approved, you manage everything through the Narava app in your Fanvue dashboard. If you run into any problems, we can set up your profile for you.
How many episodes can fans watch for free?
You choose this for each series. The default is 2, and you can set it to 0 if you want everything paid. Free episodes help new viewers get hooked before they pay.
What do I need to publish a series?
- A title (up to 120 characters) and a description (up to 2,000 characters)
- A vertical cover image (9:16, at least 1080×1920)
- A widescreen cover image (16:9, at least 2560×1440)
- At least one episode
Videos can be MP4 or WebM, up to 300 MB each. Images can be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB. You can upload episodes from your device (up to 10 at a time) or add them from your Fanvue vault. Vertical (9:16) episodes work best. Please use artwork without watermarks.
What content isn't allowed?
Narava is safe-for-work only, so no adult content. You must own the rights to everything you upload. Full terms: narava.ai/terms
How do fans pay?
Fans check out securely by card. Apple Pay and Google Pay also work in a regular browser. Access usually unlocks within a few seconds. Fans get a confirmation email from Narava, and their payment receipt from the payment processor.
Can I see how my series is performing?
In the Narava app you can see how many fans subscribe to you through Narava, and who they are. Your earnings show in your Fanvue dashboard. Views and per-series sales stats are coming soon.
Is Narava available in other languages?
The site currently supports English and Mandarin.
How do I promote my series?
Share your profile link (narava.ai/yourhandle) in your bio and on social media. Each series has its own link too, for example narava.ai/yourhandle/series-name. Links show a preview card with your cover art when shared. Choose your handle carefully, because it can't be changed later.
Can I edit or remove my content later?
Yes, it's self-serve in the Narava app. You can edit details, prices and episode order at any time. If you take a series down, fans who already bought it keep access, and you can republish it later.
